Greetings from berlin!!

Heya!! in case you guys are wondering where i am... i am in europe for holiday!! =) from 25th june-12 Jul!!! though it's summer here, the temp is only around 15 degrees.. darn cold!!! took the plane alone to gothenburg, sweden, with a transit at amsterdam.. it's darn lonely taking a plane alone.. so to those who wanna try going overseas alone, think twice!! for the past few days, went from gothenburg to copahagen and then to berlin! am setting off for basel when day breaks!!! hear from me soon... lalalla

i have been offered a 1500/mth job for 4 years!!! lalalla

now that i am free.. i have lost the meaning of time.

i smell FREEDOM!

Now that everything is over, i suddenly felt a sense of emptiness. i guess i have been too used to being busy all this while. Afterall, this year has pretty much been a blast for me. mindblowing to be exact. din really get much of a rest after i ord either. Among all the hectic schedules, decisions after decisions, commitments, so on and so forth, i have learnt to appreciate little things in life, and not to take things for granted. even if it meant just seeing you for a second. i have been blessed, definitely. I am glad i have broken free from my shackles, and behold lies acres of unexplored pasture. To Freedom.

Now that i am free (or i choose to believe i am so), what shall i do?? I like this hawker centre in meiling street, it's some old old neighbour. the food there aint really that fantastic, but average i will say. it's the atmosphere that i like. time seems to slow down or have taken a break when you are there. maybe it's due to the general ageing population, everything seems to proceed slowly, not to the extend you get irritated. you can simply sit down, slowly sip your coffee and just wait for time to pass. it's that kind of feeling, that time is not all about rushing to meet datelines and such, but to revel in the beauty of it..

now that it's OVER..

yesterday marks the end of my exams - 12th June 2007 =) in case you are wondering what exams it is, it's some lcci diploma in accounting. I guess it pretty much sums up all that i had set out and wanted to do while in NS =) Looking back, it seems like i have achieved quite abit of tasks while serving..

Tuitions. yeah i guess most people will try to moonlight and tuition seems pretty much the best choice available=) managed to teach 4 kids, and the income from the first 2 was used to purchase a massage chair for my parents=) Though they din get fantastic results, i guess there's a limit to how much a tuition teacher can contribute. The rest is up to individual..

Windsurfing. went to learn windsurfing with my camp mates =) was pretty fun but darn tiring.. am itching to go windsurf again!

Diving. managed to force myself to swim better to learn diving! was lotsa fun and i took up the basic course behind my parent's back~! in the end they learnt about my advanced course and decided to let me go too.. underwater rocks and it's realli breath-taking.. BUT poor me is banned from diving as of this year.. some alamac says i will meet with disaster if i were to venture underwater and my parents believe so =(

Holidays. ha i really went to quite alot of places, and i am really surprised=) taiwan, bangkok, hong kong, shen zhen!

Jap lang. ha overwhelmed by something which i had forgotten, i decided to learn jap lang! only managed to learn to the pre-intermediate level i think, and it was a pity i didn't manage to find time to take jlpt 4.. oh well, the consolation is that i know i wouldn't "die" if i were to get thrown out of nowhere in japan =)

Accounting. inspired by my cousin, i decided to take part time courses. found it interesting at the beginning, but it was tiring and draining to attend lessons after work. i know i wouldn't take part time courses after i started work le =)

i guess that pretty much sums up what i had done over my NS life. and who says NS is boring?? muahaha.. i guess i am one of the lucky fews.. and i have my so called hyperkalemic condition to thank=)

一年过了.. time to remove my P plate!!!

PS: Author is suffering from excessive mugging syndrome.. may god of balance sheet and god of profit and loss watch after him...

oh well.. shall backdate this entry.. my attachment/work ended on 1 Jun 07 =) no more work for now but have to mug for exams.. abit sian.. but i figure out i shld write sth about my attachment.. in case i forgot n got overwhelmed by all the fun that i will have after exams =)

hmm.. i rmb starting out work 1 week after my ord.. at this far far away place in jurong island.. it's darn far, but lucky transport was provided. it started out as some attachment to expose me to research, and to tune me back into the studying mode. =) as the saying goes, always expect the unexpected, turns out i had a drastic change of ideas and ideals, and i decided to shrug away this long long bond and become a free man =) so here and some of the things i had learnt..

- labwork, research, their methodology, train of thot n what not
- how to wash mountains to glasswares in the shortest possible time =)
- organic lab is realli darn hazardous.. you never know what small molecules are floating ard and when you neighbour decides to try sth funny and blow it off!
- managed to read 2 org chem text! n my knowledge is realli limited.. shall read widely from now on..
- dont put all your eggs in 1 basket.. open your mind and u will see other paths emerging
- you may think you like something, but dont be so sure until you try it out

yeah.. n not to forget the many frenships forged over here =) the fun crappy moments have definitely made labwork much more bearable=)

okie off to mugging.. 1 down, 3 more to go!
